Long-acting HIV Therapy (Long-acting ART)

HIV treatment options are constantly evolving – one particularly innovative option is long-acting antiretroviral therapy (Long-acting ART). This allows patients to receive an injection at longer intervals instead of taking daily tablets.

How does Long-acting ART work?

  • Two active ingredients are administered as an intramuscular injection into the gluteal muscle.
  • Injections are only required every two months.
  • The medication is released slowly and keeps the viral load stable.

This therapy can be especially interesting for people seeking a more discreet or convenient alternative to daily medication intake. Since the treatment requires specialized medical supervision, we are happy to provide personalized advice on the options and requirements.
